Crosswood United Methodist Preschool offers a quality Christian preschool education for children who live in Marion County. This ministry is for kids ages three through five and for their families. School is in session five days a week from mid-September to mid-May. We offer marniong classes for both older and younger preschool age groups.
Classes for older preschool children 9ages four through five) meet on Monday-Wednesday-Friday in the mornings from 9:00 to 11:30.
Classes for younger preschool children (ages three through young-four) meet on Tuesday-Thursday in the mornings from 9:00 - 11:00.
Our Philosophy
We seek to provide the best possible care and teaching to each individual child. Our programs are designed to enable children to grow physically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and socially by engaging their curiosity and energy and allowing for socialization and education in a caring Christian setting.
Our goal is to provide a loving atmosphere that promotes thinking, language, and discovery. We provide a wide range of educational activities to aid in the learning process. At Crosswood Christian Preschool, each child will be encouraged to interact with others and to explore the wonders God has placed all around us. We have taken the rainbow as our school symbol because we feel that children are God’s promise for our future.

Curriculum
We offer a two-year Christian preschool program that prepares children to be ready for kindergarten and early elementary school. The three- and four-year old class focuses on peer interaction, color and shape recognition, and opportunities to use and explore various writing and art utensils. The four- and five-year old class continues to build on these skills and works on letters and their sounds along with numbers. Our program uses a great deal of children’s literature, art, music, and play to explore many diverse topics that will help children with kindergarten-readiness.
Licensing
Crosswood United Methodist Preschool is licensed by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services (ODJFS). Our staff-to-child ratio is better than the state requires. This allows our teachers and students to spend a large part of our day in smaller, more individualized learning groups. All our staff members have fulfilled all ODJFS state requirements and have the skills to successfully teach your child to be prepared for kindergarten.
Fees
Registration fee $50 – Is a one-time non-refundable fee that locks in your child’s spot for the upcoming school year. Once you have completed a registration form and included the registration fee, you will be contacted to let you know that we have your child’s registration.
Material fee - This is a one-time fee that covers all school supplies and operating costs. Each age group has their own fee.
3 & 4 year old’s Tuesday/Thursday class Material fee is $100.
4 & 5 year old’s Monday/Wednesday/Friday Material fee $125.
Tuition – This is collected from September – April or 8 payments. Each class has its own rate as follows.
3 & 4 year old’s T/Th class $110 per month. * Electronic tuition $100
4 & 5 old’s M/W/F class $140 per month. *Electronic tuition $130
*We offer an option to use an electronic tuition monthly payment, or in other words autopay. If you use this option, it will save you $10 per month.

To enroll your child at Crosswood Preschool, please complete the following form and mail the following items to our address at Crosswood United Methodist Preschool, 1551 Richland Road, Marion, Ohio 43302: Please include a check for the non-refundable registration fee of $50.
Preschool Director will notify you once we have confirmed that space is available for your child in the class you have indicated.
